- Gerard W. Allen entered the U.S. Army on 12/04/1942. He served with the 343rd fighter group of the Army Air Force. He spent most of his enlistment on a tiny island in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. He received numerous medals and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant on 02/25/1946.
