State Institution Cemetery #2, Cranston, Providence, Rhode Island, United States
Notes: The cemetery was in use from 1933 to 1940 for the burial of remains of individuals who died in state institutions and whose remains were not claimed by family. Graves are marked only by a cement marker with a number on it, no names or dates.
The cemetery is at the corner where Pontiac Ave becomes Knight St. on the Cranston/Warwick city line.
In June of 1975, remains from State Institution Cemetery #3, CR0063 were moved here and buried in a common grave. This was done to facilitate the building of the Howard power plant.
June 2008 - remains recovered from a wash out at State Farm Cemetery, CR 0060 were moved here and as much as possible, individual graves were created. Most of State Farm Cemetery now lies under Rt37.
