His funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Solon Funeral Home, Monsignor Peter Bolerasky officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Streator. Visitation will be an hour before the service today at the funeral home. He was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Streator, a son of Andrew and Anna Salata Katchmar. He married Elizabeth Faw June 30, 1947.
