  Excerpt from Letter: Bernice Majercin-Zobay (1996): ... Paternal Grandfather, Michael Majercin came to the United States in 1905. Anna: She never came to the United States. She stayed behind in Europe with other family members. Andrew Majercin from Streator, Illinois wrote and received letters from her for a while.. There are two other children of Michal and Anna Majercin. Michael emigrated to the US without his wife in the early 1900's. He never remarried in the US. [13] Andrew signed the application form for Michael Majercin's and Emma Kacmar's wedding application in 1913. Andrew's birthdate is listed as 1887 by Susan Shirley's information. [14]
