partial obituary:
Theodore F. Greene, 67, of Indian Head Trail, a mailman assigned to the North Providence branch of the U.S. Post Office for 17 years, died Saturday at home.
He was the husband of Helen D. (Dio) Greene.
Born in Attleboro, a son of the late Edwin and Matilda (Gardner) Greene, he lived in Smithfield for 62 years.
Mr. Greene had also worked at the Quonset Point Naval Air Station, North Kingstown, and also for the Army Air Forces in Hawaii. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Balfour-Cole Post 64, VFW. He was a former member of the Rhode Island National Guard.
Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, three brothers, a sister, eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
