Ronald and Louise (Gaydos) Elias of Streator will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 24, 1957, at St. Stephen's Church in Streator by the Rev. Andrew Chalkey.

The wedding party included Carolyn (Kollar) Wolf, RoseAnn (Sabol) Wennerstrom, Helen Gaydos, sister of the bride; the late MaryAnn (Gaydos) Brewer, sister of the bride; the late Andrew Elias, brother of the groom; Clarence Creamean, Mickey Chalkey and Donald Kerestes.

Parents of the couple are the late Andrew and Catherine Elias and the late John and Margaret Gaydos.

The Eliases are the parents of three sons, Ronald Jr. (Cory) of Marengo, Kevin (Siobhan) of Streator and Daniel (Gina) of Spring Valley. They also have eight grandchildren.

Mr. Elias is a retired Streator police officer.

The couple will celebrate with a Mass at St. Stephen's Church and a family dinner at the Knights of Columbus hosted by their children.
