Rudolph "Rudy" Majercin (1919-1994)

STREATOR - Rudolph "Rudy" Majercin, 75, of 706 N. Otter Creek, Streator, died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday (June 16, 1994) at St. Mary's Hospital.
He had been ill for several years.His funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen's Church, Streator, Monsignor Peter Bolerasky officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, with the rosary recited at 7 p.m.
He was born Feb. 12, 1919, in Streator, the son of John and Mary Majercin.
He married Virginia Oldenburg Sept. 20, 1953, at Streator. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Rudy Majercin, Streator; one sister, Margaret Gaydos, Streator; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, six brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Majercin lived all his life in Streator and retired from Thatcher Glass Manufacturing Co., Streator, in 1977.
He was a member of St. Stephen's Church and a former member of the Streator Moose Lodge.
