Salata, Mary Ann - Obituary

Obituary for Mary Ann Salata (1918-2000)

Mary A. Salata, 81, of 1008 Painter St., died at 3:25 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen's Church. Monsignor Peter Bolerasky will officiate. Music will be provided by St. Stephen's Choir under the direction of Jo Ann Cave.
Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Garrettson, Harold Barr and Richard and Allen Hanson.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Solon & Baker Funeral Home.
Born July 27, 1918, in Streator, she was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Majerchin) Salata.
She is survived by nephews, Allen Hanson of Pepperell, Mass. and Richard Hanson of Waukesha, Wis.; and a niece, Ann Marie (Mrs. Vincent) Riehl of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Josephine Hanson, Katherine Harcharik and Anne A. Pope.
She retired from Owens-Illinois Glass in 1980.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Church and St. Ann's Society Branch 66 of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association.
