Obituary for Patrick Gene Brothers

Patrick Gene Brothers - 1967-2007

Patrick Gene Brothers, 40, of Danville, died at 9:29 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, at his home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville, IL 61832 with Pastor Jerry Short officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Pape's. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 210.

Pat was born June 4, 1967, in Peoria, to Merle Gene and Shirley Ann Majercin Brothers. He attended Elmwood Grade School, Danville High School and Danville Area Community College. He served with the U.S. Army during the Persian Gulf War from 1988-1992. He had been a mechanic with the City of Danville Mass Transit for 10 years. He was a member of the Laborers Local 210 of Danville. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and hunting.

Pat is survived by his fiance and companion: Diana Lanham Harvey; two stepchildren: Trent Lanham and Antoinette Harvey; his mother: Shirley Majercin Brewer; his father and stepmother: Gene (Phyllis Gabbard) Brothers; six stepbrothers and sisters: Trenton (Ginger) Gabbard, Randall Gabbard, David (Tina) Gabbard, Marcia (Tommy) Quast, Benjamin (Gay Lynn) Gabbard and Jeri Shirey; and five aunts and uncles: Jeff Majercin, Doug (Carolyn) Majercin, Melanie Majercin, Carolyn (Eric) Nance and Pamela (Martin Swick) Abdelgani.
