SPRINGFIELD - John Danko, 79, of Springfield died Saturday, June 11, 2005, at St. John's Hospital.

He was born July 14, 1925, in Springfield, the son of Andrew and Anna Majercin Danko. He married Juanita Lucy Wunderlich in 1948 in Springfield.

Mr. Danko was a chef and worked at the Leland Hotel for 20 years, Mansion View and Holiday Inn South for several years and Holiday Inn East for 20 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.

Survivors: wife, Juanita; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Aloysius Catholic Church, the Very Rev. Thomas Liebler, V.F., officiating. Burial: Rochester Cemetery.
