Hanson, Josephine - Obituary
Obituary for Josephine (Salata) Hanson in the Streator Times-Press Newspaper.
STREATOR ? Josephine Hanson, 62, of 1008 Harrison St., Peru, a Streator native, died at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Her funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Mueller Funeral Home, Peru, and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Peru. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Hanson was born Dec. 22, 1919, at Streator, a daughter of Andrew and Mary Mayerchin Salata. She married Elmer W. Hanson, July 1, 1950, at Streator. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard, Peru, and Allen, at home; three sisters, Ann Popes [Pope], Katherine Harcharik and Mary Salata, all of Streator.
She was a teacher's aide at Roosevelt School, Peru.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and the Alter and Rosary Society of the church.
