Milton Hicks - La Veta Signature - February 23, 1989 -

Milton Hicks, 88, died February 15 at Huerfano County Memorial Hospital.

Milton is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Margie Bradley and Judy (Carroll) Welch, all of La Veta, and son David hicks of Tucson, AZ, two sisters, Millicent Turcotte of Providence, Rhode island, and alma Christensen of Canoga Park, CA, four grandchildren, Gary (Kelly) Boyer, Kurt Boyer, Krissy Welch and Steve Welch, niece Barbara Peet and nephew John Christensen.

Milton was born on November 15, 1900 in Little Compton, R.I. He moved to California after World War I and established a landscaping business in the San Fernando Valley. He and Mary retired to La Veta, CO in 1973. On May 7, 1988, Milton and Mary celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary.

A Memorial Service was held at the United Methodist Church in La Veta on Sunday, February 19, at 4:00 p.m. Cremation, Almont Crematory.
