Donna L. Amell 1935-2007

STREATOR -- Donna L. Amell, 71, of Streator, died Tuesday evening, May 1, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hagi Funeral Home in Streator with the Rev. Eugene Radosevich officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Amell was born May 18, 1935, in Streator, to LeRoy and Dorothy (Wultzen) Bell. She married Frank Majercin. She then married Edward Amell, who died Nov. 19, 1981.

She attended Streator Township High School and was a bus driver for STHS for 20 years.

She was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492 Auxiliary, Eagles Lodge Aerie 645 Auxiliary, all of Streator, and the Chandler Arizona Elks Lodge.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Mike) Weishan of Queen Creek, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Moyer; two stepdaughters, Cathleen and Barbara Amell, both of Bloomington; a stepson, David Amell of Streator; a sister, Judy (Howard) Donnell of Streator; and a brother, Gene (Dorothy) Bell of Streator.

She was preceded in death by a son, Frank Majercin Jr.; two sisters, Patsy Thorpe and Geri Rogers; and a brother, Thomas Bell.
