Roland Allard (Ser. # 11110247) was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was attached to the 388th Bomb Group, Station 136.

His plane, a B-17F Flying Fortress Bomber was shot down over Stuttgart, Germany.

Allard, was the tail gunner on this mission. He and two others were either already dead, or could not get out in time, as the others bailed out of the plane.

The surviving seven crew members were captured by German forces. Through a local interpreter, they were told that the plane crashed a few miles from where they crew was captured, and that the three dead would be provided a proper military burial.
