NORTH PORT, Fla. Daniel G. "Corky" Majerchin, 65, of North Port, Fla., formerly of Streator, died July 25, 2010.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 13 at San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port. Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 6 at Arlington National Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; a daughter, Kristen Williams of Spring, Texas; a sister, Janice Thiems of Highland, Ill.; brothers, Ken Maynard of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Louis of Streator; granddaughters, Chelsey Williams of Spring and Shelby Williams of Twentynine Palms, Calif.; stepdaughters, Michelle and Jennifer Fesi, both of Chicago; and his best friend, Mac.
He attended Southern Illinois University and was a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity. Corky was a retired engineer from BNSF Railroad. He was an Air Force veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the North Port Veterans of Foreign Wars.
